Leading the design effort to unlock peace of mind for caregivers and better care for patients by allowing multiple caregivers to collaborate and gain actionable health insights.

CareMobi is an initiative started by the NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing with funding support from National Institute On Aging (NIA).
Caregiving for dementia patients is typically split across multiple family members, doctors, nurses, and other care team members like adult day care or long-term care staff, making coordination, and tracking physical and behavioural symptoms difficult and stressful.
Designed and launched a 0→1 mobile MVP from concept to the App Store.
Defined the product’s UX patterns and interaction model and reduced ambiguity with detailed prototypes.
Enabled further funding grants and eventual commercialization.
To keep data entry as efficient as possible we used progressive disclosure to reduce cognitive load, only displaying additional fields when relevant and using iconography where possible. Through additional conversations with users we learned health care professionals often need to log multiple vitals at once.

Post-launch, CareMobi tested the product with a small number of care teams before promoting the application to a wider audience. This identified a number of small usability fixes and new feature ideas. The Input team has been able to return to the product multiple times to design and build new features like audio notes for appointments, improved notifications, new concepts for logging mood updates, post comments, and more.
